AfP has been active across the globe to advance more consistent and evidence-based standards of peacebuilding practice. Jessica Baumgardner-Zuzik, AfP’s Director for Learning and Evaluation, has hosted a series of workshops meant to increase the capacity of peacebuilding programs to design, monitor and evaluate their work.

GPPAC North America Consortium – Mexico City, Mexico: AfP participated at the first GPPAC North America Consortium meeting of 2019 in Mexico City, Mexico. The foundation was laid to design and roll-out a North American Solutions Forum at the end of 2019 focused on peacebuilding M&E and peacebuilding approaches. The Peacebuilding Solutions Forum is an opportunity for practitioners to come together, network and connect with people working in this space, and share best practices, lessons learned, results, and evidence from across the broad spectrum of programming and M&E activities in peacebuilding. You can read more about the 2018 Solutions Forum held at the United States Institute of Peace.

PEC Cross-learning & Capacity Building Event – Yangon, Myanmar: AfP co-hosted with Mercy Corps Myanmar a cross-learning and capacity building event in Yangon with 43 participants from across 17 local NGOs working on social cohesion, inter-harmony, and peacebuilding activities within Myanmar. The event focused on identifying current challenges and potential solutions to peacebuilding M&E issues as well as direct capacity building in peacebuilding M&E.
