The Alliance for Peacebuilding’s First Advocacy Day

August 12, 2019
Type: ,

The Alliance for Peacebuilding and the +Peace Coalition are hosting our first-ever United States Congressional Advocacy Day this October, in coordination with PeaceCon 2019. Congressional Advocacy Day will provide U.S. based and global peacebuilders an opportunity to connect with the U.S. government’s premier legislative body and advocate for peacebuilding policy priorities.

Advocacy Day will be Tuesday, October 1st. We will start the day at 8:15 am with advocacy training at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation (breakfast will be provided).

Participants, directed by a group lead, will meet with Congressional staff in the afternoon. These meetings will be an opportunity to advance the legislative priorities of the peacebuilding community. Additionally, this is an opportunity to meet and network with international and domestic members of the growing peacebuilding community preceding PeaceCon 2019.
