Does registration include accommodations and/or transportation?
No, registration only includes the meals and materials as stipulated on your event ticket. Accommodations and transportation are the responsibility of participants.
Does registration include food?
Yes. Registration includes beverages and lunch all three days of the conference. Breakfast will also be served on October 25th and October 26th. Breakfast will not be served on October 24th.
Is there a group rate available?
Group rates are determined on a case by case basis. Interested parties should e-mail Adam Wolf at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I become a member in order to get the member discount?
Yes, information about joining AfP as a member can be found on our membership page.
I would like to attend the conference, but I require a visa. Can AfP help?
The Alliance for Peacebuilding cannot sponsor visas. Participants are responsible for their own visas. However, AfP can provide an invitation letter to support your application. More information about getting an invitation letter can be found at the bottom of our registration webpage. Please note, invitation letters are to support your visa application. It does not grant participants free admission to the conference and all participants needing a letter are expected to pay for their admission.
I can’t afford the registration fee, are there any discounts available?
We strive to keep registration fees as low as possible for our participants, but we recognize this is out of reach for some participants. AfP offers discounted rates for members and member organizations. You can gain limited access to the Annual Conference as a volunteer. Calls for volunteers will be posted during the summer of 2018.
I registered for the conference, but I have to cancel. Can I receive a refund?
Cancellations must be submitted by e-mail to email@example.com. AfP will provide a full refund on cancellations received on or before September 1, 2018. Cancellation requests received after this date will receive only a 50% refund.
I’m a professional and would like to share my work. Can I distribute or sell my work at the conference?
If you are interested in bringing promotional materials and/or selling items at the conference, you can purchase a booth in our Exposition Hall.
Why is Day 1 free?
Day 1 is treated as a separate event in partnership with the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), and in accordance with government rules, payment is not accepted for public events. Regarding days 2 and 3, we at the Alliance for Peacebuilding strive to keep registration fees as low as possible for our participants.
