Digital Peacebuilding CoP: Scaling Facilitated Dialogue with Conversation Engines

  • 1800 Massachusetts Ave NW Suite 401 Washington, DC United States (map)

Join the upcoming meeting of AfP's Digital Peacebuilding Community of Practice on Tuesday, November 16th at 11:00am EST!

Can we scale dialogue with automated facilitation tools? At this session, hear about how Kazm is using “conversation engines” to structure automated facilitation and activate viral conversations. Natalie Docherty of Kazm will demo how it works, and share what they're learning from more than 30 pilots underway with bridge-building organizations and networks. We'll also hear from Joan Blades, Co-founder of Living Room Conversations, about how Kazm's platform has helped to scale their dialogues across dividing lines in America.

The conversation will explore:

  • How a conversation engine works.

  • The different models to choose depending on your goals.

  • How the functions seek to address pitfalls of dialogue, including time management and equitable engagement.

  • How it can be adapted for various peacebuilding goals.
