  • 1800 Massachusetts Ave NW Suite 401 Washington, DC United States (map)

This event, co-hosted by the Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP) and FHI 360, will foster a rich discussion on the impact of online hate speech and disinformation on peace and stability in the US and across the globe. The forum will provide a platform for practitioners and thought leaders to share lessons they have learned, and to make recommendations for how best to respond to overt digital influence operations by state and non-state actors.

The panel discussion will be facilitated by Theo Dolan, Technical Advisor at FHI 360, and features opening remarks from Liz Hume, AfP’s Acting CEO, and panelists:
∙ Chris Worman, Vice President of Alliances & Program Development at TechSoup
∙ Evanna Hu, CEO & Partner at Omelas
∙ Kieren Aris, Business Development Manager at Moonshot CVE
∙ Galen Lamphere-Englund, Research & Insights Director at Love Frankie
∙ Alicia Wanless, Director of the Partnership for Countering Influence Operations at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
Panelists will highlight collective expertise in identifying, countering, and preventing online hate speech, disinformation, and other digital threats that undermine peace and stability.
