Abstract: The UN-coordinated counterterrorism listing and sanctions framework limits the effectiveness of peacebuilding programs that address the root causes of violent extremism. Alliance for Peacebuilding encourages network members to respond to a new UN survey by highlighting how this legal framework undermines the UN’s own global counterterrorism strategy.
