Digital Peacebuilding CoP: Realtime Collective Dialogue for Increased Inclusivity and Understanding

  • 1800 Massachusetts Ave NW Suite 401 Washington, DC United States (map)

Join the upcoming meeting of AfP's Digital Peacebuilding Community of Practice on Tuesday, May 17th at 11:00am ET!

How do you include large population in realtime dialogue? In this session, learn how Remesh uses machine learning to make realtime dialogue with a population possible, and how it is used in practice to drive inclusivity and understanding within peace-building efforts. Remesh co-founder Andrew Konya will explain how it works, demo the tool, and share practical lessons derived from thousands of collective dialogues spanning national governments, NGOs, and United Nations missions.

The conversation will explore:

  • How machine learning makes collective dialogue practical.

  • What it is like to plan and execute.

  • How to use it for inclusivity.

  • Examples from active peacebuilding efforts.

Andrew Konya has spent the past decade developing and applying machine learning to problems in material science, bio-sensing, traffic, image analysis, language, market research, and peacebuilding. In 2013, he founded Remesh to build AI for engaging and understand populations where he currently serves as CEO. He spends his free time making art and thinking about the future of representative intelligence.
