Promoting women and youth led multi-religious collaboration in peacebuilding
Multi-religious actors working together at community, regional, and global levels have shown to be effective in building peace in their local contexts. As we engage with questions around religious actors being instrumentalized, we are witnessing a moment where multi-religious voices for moral dignity and shared well being are becoming more prominent. However, even though multi-religious efforts are coming into greater prominence, the role of youth and women in leading multireligious efforts and initiatives are often overlooked and overshadowed. In this session we will center the perspectives of women and youth involved in multi-religious peacebuilding efforts and learn about what effective women and youth-led collaboration looks like in countering hate and building peace and social cohesion. We will also learn about how we can better listen, support, partner with, and fund multi-religious actors and efforts.
